The elections are approaching rapidly. The parties try everything the can to get as many voters for them to win. This afternoon has Green-president Meyrem Almaci launched their largest campaign ever, especially around the climate runs. Just today also N-VA, V-day, a kind of seminar, about energy and ecology in Flanders Expo in Ghent. At the start of the study day, introduced some members of the 11 march movement, an organization that advocates for the preservation of the kernuitstap and the transition to green energy, action. Groen and N-VA are today diametrically opposed to each other, but Almaci connect nothing: “We’re starting now all on the same measures and we will see how the cards are on the 26th of may.”
For 5 to 12 gave the Green-president Meyrem Almaci, together with all lijsttrekkers the start of the campaign in the Antwerp district of Borgerhout. “While other parties are busy with themselves, and forced discord to try to sow, we share much more than we think. The challenges we face both in terms of climate, purchasing power and living together are so extensive that we need to work together instead of antagonizing. There goes our campaign: ‘We share more than we think’.”
Today, there is a lot of unity in the society. Almaci: “Thousands of young people and families every week on the streets for the climate. 84% of people requires a fair climate policy. And also honesty, we wish again in the heart of the politics. 84% want a fair contribution from the largest capabilities. Our job is not to get people to distribute, our job is to bring people together. Because we share a lot more than we think.”
