Nearly 10.5 million viewers followed the interview with President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday evening on the 8:00 p.m. news on TF1 and France 2, according to figures published Monday by Médiamétrie.
This interview attracted 5.68 million viewers on TF1 (27.1% audience share) and 4.8 million on France 2 (22.9% audience share). At the end of July, more than 7.5 million viewers followed the interview with the Head of State, carried out in duplex from Nouméa for the 1 p.m. news on TF1 and France 2 (plus some 700,000 viewers watching the four news channels continuously).

In mid-May, just over six million viewers watched his interview on TF1’s 8 p.m. news. On March 22, in the midst of protests over pension reform, his previous intervention, on the 1 p.m. news on TF1 and France 2, attracted a total of 11.5 million viewers (including the news channels). And in 2022, the president’s July 14 interview, broadcast on TF1 and France 2, attracted a total of 6.7 million viewers.
