The day of “Railway anger”, this Thursday, should cause limited disruption to the SNCF. This Tuesday evening, the railway group unveiled its first estimates of traffic conditions for April 20. After several difficult days, during previous mobilizations, this time, the circulation of TGV Inoui and Ouigo trains should be “almost normal”, according to the company. Similarly, internationally, Eurostar and Thalys trains should run smoothly.
In the territories, the situation will be more complex. For Intercity connections, there will be two out of five trains in circulation but no night connection. On the TER side, the SNCF plans to run four out of five trains.
In the Paris region, the service will be normal on the RER A and B but also the tram lines T4, T11 and T13. The most disrupted line will be the Transilien K line with only one in two trains. RER C, D and E will only see two-thirds of the service maintained, as for lines H, J, L R and U. Finally, there will be three out of four trains on lines N and P.
The railway unions had proposed this day of mobilization on April 20 as a “preparation stage” before the demonstrations on May 1. This date falls on the eve of school holidays in the Paris and Occitan regions and a crossover weekend in the other areas which are already on vacation.
