Netflix is set to release a new romantic comedy next month titled “A Family Affair,” featuring a star-studded cast including Joey King, Nicole Kidman, and Zac Efron. The official trailer for the film has already been unveiled, promising plenty of hilarious situations.
In recent months, Netflix has been focusing more on romantic comedies, with hits like “Love at First Sight,” “Irish Wish,” and “Mother of the Bride.” Now, the streaming platform is gearing up for its next romantic comedy, boasting an impressive lineup of actors.
“A Family Affair” follows the story of Zara Ford (Joey King), a young woman striving for success in the film industry who has been working as an assistant to movie star Chris Cole (Zac Efron) for two years. However, her life takes a turn for the worse when her mother, Brooke Harwood (Nicole Kidman), starts a relationship with Chris. The trailer clearly shows Zara’s disapproval of this newfound romance.
Starring Joey King, Nicole Kidman, and Zac Efron in the lead roles, the film also features Liza Koshy and Kathy Bates. Directed by Richard Lagravenese and written by Carrie Solomon, “A Family Affair” is set to premiere on Netflix on Friday, June 28th.
