Maria Pages, the bailaora and choreographer, was the Medal of the Granada International Music and Dance Festival 20,22. She dazzled the Generalife Theater last night with her piece ‘De Scheherazade,’ a powerful story about women rooted at ‘The Thousand and One Nights, through the expressions of mothers, workers, researchers, and housewives… “Women who sustain this world and who shamelessly mix emotions such as sensitivity and brave,” Pages said. The show was a hit with an enthusiastic crowd and ended with a standing ovation. Pages first came to the Festival in 1998 with “De la luna al viento”, a tribute to Federico Garcia Lorca, on the centenary. Her works have been featured at the Festival seven times since then.
