Two foreign climbers who had been reported three days ago, during a Tour on the hornli ridge with Zermatt, VS as missing, died in a plane crash. A helicopter discovered the two bodies at the foot of the East wall on the Furggletscher.
The two climbers wanted announced on Wednesday via the hörnli ridge of the Matterhorn, as the cantonal police of Valais on Saturday. At an altitude of 3700 meters above sea level, they rushed between 500 and 600 meters in depth. The two were not roped. The exact cause of the accident was being investigated. The two victims were not yet recognizes formally. (Dec/sda)
