The zoo was closed down after a series of deaths among animals and an even longer series of complaints from dyreaktivister due to the animals ‘ poor conditions.

Now dyrerettighedsforkæmpere from the organization Proyecto Gran Simio (The Great Abeprojekt, red.) published photos from inside the abandoned park. In this connection, they forward the harsh criticism towards the local authorities because of the conditions, the surviving animals, according to them, are now living.

the Images that have been shared on Facebook, shows the animals in their enclosures with stagnant water and dirty windows.

– the Authorities are responsible for these situations, which occur in many zoos and private centers that will be closed or abandoned, and where the animals are half left, says Pedro Tozas Terrados, director of the Proyecto Gran Simio in an opinion in connection with the publication of the images.
