don’t buy tickets direct from private sellers.

this is the sound of the warning now from the festival Music in the Bearing, which right now is struggling with billetsvindel.

Several people have paid for tickets to the festival through a fake Facebookprofil who abuse the Music in The address, and they receive, therefore, never any tickets. At the Music in the Bearing Facebook page for example, there is a woman who describes how she has lost 3600 dollars on the account – and for good advice to get the money back.

It writes Frederiksborg Amts Avis.

– Our assessment is that it is an imposter who has created fake profiles and use our return address, our phone number and everything else. It is really unpleasant and terrible, for it has managed to steal money from a lot of people, says the chairman of the festival, Peter Maarbjerg to the newspaper.

the Festival has warned against the fraud through the Music in the Bearing Facebook page and is also to gather material together for a police report of the fraudster.

Music in the Bearing therefore ask the people who are turning to tell, they have been cheated, to forward the emails they received from the scammer.

– It is a very unpleasant experience for the people. The fraudster is aggressive and pushing to get people to pay the money. But it is trickery, deceit and pure theft, says the president, to the newspaper.

the Festival invites people to even go to the police when they have been scammed.

It is not the first time, Music in the Rented rooms with billetsnyd. And it is on the whole a major problem in the koncertbranchen. Why is the Music in the Bearing also in the Danish Ministry of culture’s campaign #billetblind that just focuses on combating cheating with tickets.

Music in the Bearing stresses that you should only purchase tickets via the official ticket sales. Also if you need to buy tickets from a private seller.
