“Germany does not want to import nuclear power,”
“A commission appointed by the German government suggests to all the country’s coal-fired power stations should be closed no later than 2038. But it does not mean that coal power is replaced with cheap, imported energy from nuclear power, according to minister Peter Altmaier.”
“We do not want to import cheap nuclear energy from other countries,” says Altmeier in an interview with the German tv company ZDF.”
“According to the commission’s report, the phasing-out of coal power occur as early as 2035. At least 40 billion is proposed in support to the regions affected by the phase-out.”
