An Asian Tourist climbs for a photo on a pillar in front of the vegetables from the bridge and rushes by, almost into the water, Limmat river boats roar so close that you hear the splash, the Spray, a couple of tables sitting behind us, Roger Köppel. On the terrace of the hotel Storchen located on the canal, which belongs to the Restaurant, La Rôtisserie, is a not-so-boring.
Since may, Stefan Jäckel is active, a gourmet cook, among other things, in the case of Horst Petermann in Küsnacht ZH, and most recently at the Hotel Weiss Kreuz in Malans GR was active. Now he belongs to the Living-Circle-Brigade. Several luxury hotels and the associated Restaurants have joined under this name.
the Classic also the interior: the dining room of La Rôtisserie.
the Castello del Sole is located in the Storchen in Ascona to the group. The Living-Circle-chefs working with products from the own farm in the Maggia Delta. In addition to wine and Polenta rice is produced there. A matter of honor, that we ordered a saffron risotto from own production (38 Fr.). Served with sämigem Stracciatella cheese, marinated porcini mushrooms, and potato crisp.
Impeccable Comfort-Food that is. A bit too conventional for this price, the Rotgarnelen seem from the business lunch (52 Fr. with a Starter), combined with Fregola sarda, red Peppers and grilled lettuce hearts. Great idea: enjoy a Lunch, here’s “One Hour Lunch” called, within an hour, the bill on the house (what happened according to the fast waiters but never).
Know how to put food scene: chef Stefan Jäckel.
From the recommendation menu, we order the geflämmten Ticino salmon (42 Fr.). You would photograph it from all angles, so art he’s done: with rolled beet, in which caviar beads stuck to a butter milk cream with cucumber and herbal oil comes in. This is a summery, tart, and delicate, but also because of the Surprise of something missing.
of Course, it is clear that in this classical Tradition, and the Guild locally, where there is also Züri-Geschnetzeltes (54 Fr.) there is no fermented Trend-Food place. But with a tad more fire, we would have liked. Especially in the Dessert. With Sorbet, ice Cream or iced coffee with a Nespresso-Gel you are not attracted to us anyway. We get, therefore, strawberries (16 Fr.), not on the map.
