The red train rattles past the bridge piers at Sihlcity, on the highway the desert in Brunau, in the living stream of blocks in glue, along the idyllic Sihl, where dog owners and fishermen stand in the river. Inside the car it is always empty, outside evergreen. Then, after a long Tunnel, the final stop: the Sihlwald.
Here are the summer for 13 years production of the Turbine theater. And visit lack of theatre Director Peter Niklaus Steiner can’t complain, the ideas are visited, in spite of the remote place, well. Or perhaps that is why? Not only Fox and hare say Good night here, so lonely the farmhouses are in the countryside in the vicinity of the visitor center, the wilderness Park Sihlwald. It should be in the 1200 hectares of forest wolves.
From the wolves unimpressed
undeterred, Steiner and his Team. This year, the film’s Director René Schnoz staged the Shakespeare classic “as you like it”. It smells of wood, the large house is surrounded by high Stacks Tannscheiter. Here, in the pavilion of the wilderness parks, sitting in the audience on a steep grandstand or the whole of the front armchairs. Black sliding walls to give, if you are open, the view on the Sihl river and the forest. The audience always remains dry, the ranks are all covered.
it is Different with the actors. The theatre group played not only the barn but also the adjacent forest and the underlying Sihl. Quite literally; Ailin Nolmans as a castaway in one of the first scenes knee-deep in the water.
This theatrical world and the real world are mixed: While the actor air drums and Mini-play Keyboard, by race, behind the Jogger. In order for the audience to hear what they have to say, the Duke of Illyria (Christaan Turk) and his colleagues on the other side of the river to the sound with the big boxes in the auditorium.
Who loves you now who?
In Shakespeare’s Comedy the Duke Livio, of the loves of the Countess Livia, which in turn is in love with the servant of the Duke, but is actually a woman and in love with the Duke. In order for the audience when so many love troubles and lose track, designed by a stage designer René green fields, pink “love balls” with different letters, which are mounted on the stands opposite Sihlufer and depending on whether Livy or Livia speaks, can be rotated.
the division of The stage by the river is part of the concept of Director Schnoz: On the side of the audience, the realm of Livia, which stands for the sadness and the Dark. On the other side the Kingdom of Livio, the Duke of Illyria, which in turn stands for love and strength is.
