The Madrid Real Estate Exhibition (SIMA) has closed this Sunday four days of commercial activity with the visit of 12,500 people, 36.8% less than in the 2019 edition, the last one held before the pandemic, when it registered 19,800 visitors.
The residential offer this year has been around 15,000 homes, compared to 30,000 three years ago, 50% of them located in the Community of Madrid
The capital has concentrated 38% of this supply (12% in the central almond and 26% in the rest of the municipality), 47% in the metropolitan area and another 15% in the rest of the region.
The other 50% of the residential offer marketed in SIMA was found in the country’s main tourist destinations, especially in the Levantine-Andalusian arc, according to the Efe agency.
Alicante, with 15%, has been the second province in presence; followed by Malaga (13%), Valencia (6%), Almería (5%) and the Balearic Islands (3%).
According to the organizers, the offer of the fair has had a significant increase in single-family homes (one in four for sale) and rental housing, which has accounted for 9% of the total.
In addition, 80% of the houses that have been offered are still under construction, compared to 20% turnkey.
The organization ensures that the number of visitors is in line with its forecasts and highlights the participation of 297 commercial firms and entities, almost double that of last year, and a figure similar to the 309 before the pandemic.
