Lisbon is derailed on Friday evening, one of the historic trams. According to rescue 28 people were slightly injured. The Tram had been a police officer in a building and completely destroyed.
pictures on local media showed a house on the corner of shattered wood wagon in the narrow streets of the neighborhood of Lapa. Around ten people had to be freed by Rescue workers from the tram wreck, such as the fire brigade of the Portuguese capital said.
“We have seen how the tram came at full speed off the road. The driver looked panicked and the tram is derailed when she reached the curve,” said an eye-witness, the public television station RTP. The accident occurred at about 18.00 local time. (sda)
