Director Spike Lee won the night’s first Oscar, after three decades of nominations. The movie “BlacKkKlansman”, loosely based on Ron Stallworths memoir of the same name, took the award for best adapterte the script during Sunday’s award ceremony.
Lee did not let the chance go from him to say what he thinks about the country’s sitting president.
the Choice in 2020 is right around the corner. Let us mobilize, and place us on the correct side of the story. Let us take the moral choice between love and hatred, he said from the pulpit, according to The Guardian.
today took the president to his preferred medium, Twitter, to say what he thought about Lee’s statements.
be nice if Spike Lee could read his notes, or better yet not have to use notes at all, when doing his racist hit on your President, who has done more for African Americans (Criminal Justice Reform, the Lowest Unemployment numbers in History, Tax Cuts, etc.) than almost any other Pres!

It would be nice if Lee could read the notes, or not used notes at all, when he comes out with racist kicks against the president, who has done more for african-americans (kriminalreform, lowest unemployment in history, tax cuts, etc.) than almost any other president! write the president on his official Twitter page.
the Film “everyone” was furious at won the Oscar for best film Comment
“BlacKkKlansman” was also nominated in the category Best film. The award went instead to the controversial “Green Book”, which is about a racist sjåførs burgeoning friendship with a black pianist.
According to Deadline went a clearly angry Spike Lee himself from his seat, and walked up and down the aisle with a irritated my. Under the “Green Book”-director Peter Farrellys acceptance speech, he should have turned our backs to the stage.
“the Green Book” has received criticism for to treat racism-the theme of a unyansert way, and to give an unrealistically rosy portrayal of the friendship, which is based on a true story.
– It is a sort of feelgood-movie about racism, about contradictions that are resolved by the fact that people are becoming a little better known and ultimately give each other a hug, writes Dagbladet reviewer Inger Merete Hobbelstad in a comment.
– One movie is missing
Lee commented, even the incident behind the stage in the Dolby Theatre later in the evening.
I’m really unlucky. Every time someone is running some, sometimes I lose. This time changed in every case, the seating, said Lee, according to Deadline.
Won the award – it went on snørra
the Comment was probably a reference to the Academy awards in 1990, when Bruce Beresfords Best film award went to “Driving Miss Daisy”, which is about the friendship between a black chauffeur and a white overklassekvinne.
Many thought it was a scandal that Lee’s “Do The Right Thing” wasn’t even nominated.
the Decision was actress Kim Basinger to break with the script when she should share the award.
– We have five amazing films here, and they are fantastic for one reason: because they tell the truth. But there is one film that is missing. Ironically, tells the perhaps the greatest truth. It is “Do The Right Thing”, she said, before she presented the award for “Driving Miss Daisy”.
According to Fox News compared Lee “Green Book”-the victory with a dommerfeil on a football match.
Wait, what kind of reaction did you see? What did I do? No, I thought I was at the game in Madison Square Garden and the judge made a mistake, he said to a reporter, according to the american nettavisa.
‘ll even critique the Dealing are slaughtered in social media
Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman” has, however, also received criticism. In august of last year posted “Sorry Two Bother You”-director and “The Coup”-the lead singer Boots Riley is a three-page essay where he criticized the film on Twitter.
” first, “BlacKkKlansman” is not a true story, writes Riley.
And it is the untrue elements in the film that gets the film’s main character to be a hero who fights against racism.
Riley writes that the real Ron Stallworth in three years infiltrated black organizations, and that this was the Stallworths hovedvirke. In Lee’s film participates Stallworth only in such operations in a very short period of time.
He further argues that when Stallworth infiltrated White power organizations, it was not to stop them, but to use them as a tool against black organizations.
That Spike Lee makes a movie where the fabricated events makes that a black police officer and his colleagues, as allies in the fight against racism, is really disappointing, to say the least, he writes further.
