south Korea is one of the few industrialized nations where abortion is still illegal. Except when it comes to cases of rape, incest or when the mother’s health is in danger.

from 1953, it is illegal to perform an abortion. The law goes against the constitution according to the court, therefore, will now be changed in the end of next year. Women who undergo an abortion can be sentenced to a year in prison and a fine. The doctor who performed the aborten can be sentenced to two years in prison.
