the Danish caa prohibits with immediate effect the use of semi-trailers, mounted on the so-called lommevogne. It happens after the investigation of the railway accident on the great belt.
the Danish transport authority informs that a verification visit with the participation of representatives from Aib and Traffic, Building and Construction authority revealed the risk of semi-trailers that are locked securely to the stool/saddle reading on the freight wagons of type ‘lommevogne.
According to TV2 was also attended by representatives from Deutche Bahn, DSB and the police by the test.
The preliminary findings of the studies show that by the use of the so-called ‘lommevogne’, who was also involved in the Storebæltsulykken, is ’the risk of the semi-trailer is not locked firmly to the stool/saddle by the reading on the godsvognen’.
At Monday’s test was a delegation of the above on the visit by DB Cargo in order to test the ‘locking lever’ which is the part of the trailer, and there can be fixed and thus ensure that the load on to not fall off while driving.
According to TV2, there was conducted a test, where a trailer was placed on a wagon. Then lifted up to the trailer again to ensure that the wagon was strapped.
It was this test that showed the error in the locking mechanism.
