Olivares was shot down near the congress in Buenos Aires, together with the co-worker Miguel Yadón, which seems to have been the target of the attack. Yadón died immediately.
at Least six people from a criminal group has been arrested, suspected of involvement. According to argentine media believed the motive to have been personal against Yadón, not political – on the övervakningsbilder seen the perpetrators shoot the two men, but after that, they get to kill Olivares at the site.

Patricia Bullrich, national minister of security, tweeted their condolences and requires that those guilty ”have to pay for their crimes”. Olivares condition has been critical since Thursday, and several cases of organ failure threatened his life.
