Timothé Mumenthaler Wins Gold in Men’s 200m at European Championships
Timothé Mumenthaler wins the gold medal in the men’s 200m race at the European Championships in Rome, clocking in at 20.28 seconds. The Swiss athlete beat out Filippo Tortu from Italy (20.41) and William Reais from Switzerland (20.47) to secure the top spot on the podium.
In other events, Sara Fantini from Italy claimed gold in the women’s hammer throw, while Liemarvin Bonevacia from the Netherlands and Lieke Klaver also secured bronze medals in the men’s and women’s 400m races respectively.
Jeff Tesselaar, a young decathlete from North Holland, performed well in the first day of the decathlon, setting personal records in the long jump and 400m events. Tesselaar aims to gain valuable experience at the championships.
