After a dramatic election night, the Turkish electoral authority YSK sees the Opposition in the race for the mayor’s office in the important economic metropolis Istanbul, at the front – a hair’s breadth.

Accordingly, the candidate of the center-left party, CHP, Ekrem imamoğlu led, on Monday morning, with 27.889 votes against the candidate of the Islamic-conservative government party AKP, Ex-Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.

“For Ekrem imamoğlu I have so far (votes)number 4.159.650. Mr Binali 4.131.761 votes are registered in the System,“ said YSK head Sadi Güven in a TV Interview.

However, counts Güven, currently a few votes.
