The former Mossad Agent Rafi Eitan, who commanded in 1960, the command action to the capture of Nazi criminal Adolf Eichmann, died at the age of 92 years. As the Israeli radio reported, died Eitan on Saturday in the Ischilow hospital in Tel Aviv. The head of government Benjamin Netanyahu praised the agents as “one of the heroes of the secret service of the state of Israel”, to which I have made, in many cases, the security of the country deserves. “We mourn his passing,” it said in a statement from the Prime Minister.
Eitan was the Mossad in the ‘ 50s, a spy of the foreign intelligence service, and rose to chief of the command actions. In 1960, he commanded the famous application that led to the capture of Eichmann in Buenos Aires.
The former SS-Obersturmbannführer Eichmann, who was from 1939 in the Reich main security office responsible for the Deportation of the European Jews in the Nazi extermination camps. After the war, the escape from a U.S. prison camp managed to the Keeper of the minutes of the Wannsee conference.
