There is a post on Twitter, the Israeli foreign minister Israel Katz is going out with the task that president Trump to sign a document that recognizes Israel’s sovereignty over the disputed Golan heights.

”President Trump will tomorrow, in the presence of the prime minister, Netanyahu, to sign an order that recognizes Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan heights,” writes Katz in the post, which was published on Sunday.

Benjamin Netanyahu, has long pressed for a recognition of the Golan heights, which Israel annexed from Syria in the six day war in 1967.

the Annexation has not been recognized by the outside world, but in the last Thursday published the president of the Trump a Tweets in which he wrote that it was time to acknowledge the area as israeli.

”After 52 years, it is time for the U.S. to fully recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan heights, which is of vital strategic and security importance for the state of Israel and stability in the region”, it was in the post.

when a recognition could take place, but according to Katz, it will therefore be in the morning Monday.

A representative from the syrian foreign ministry has criticized Trump’s move as ”irresponsible” and a flagrant violation against the security council’s conclusions. The representative also said that the Golan will remain a part of the Syria ”regardless of the U.S. president’s positions”.
