The Ukrainian Secret Service (SBU) has been hunting Putin’s spies across the country since the beginning of Russia’s war of aggression. Now, at the beginning of March, the SBU took action against traitors in its own ranks. Cyber specialists closed 26 Telegram channels in which able-bodied men had received tips on how to evade mobilization.

The groups warned of Territorial Defense events and posted recruitment site locations to avoid. Special forces arrested operators of the channels. They face up to ten years in prison.

The raids are a warning to those who wish to avoid fighting Putin’s forces. And they show that the Ukrainian government has tightened the reins on mobilization. The situation on the battlefield is tense.
