radio host Tue Blædel was one of those who smoke when the DR was through a big sparerunde in October.
Blædel was for many years the real host on P3 together with his partner Tony Scott, but both were so-called ‘mind’.
But during a half-year later, the 39-year-old host back in the DR – specifically, on P1, where he will be the host of ’the world’s Press at P1′.
‘An hour every Sunday at 11, only on the international news. And I am me completely mad!’, he writes on his Instagram profile.
Despite the dismissal was, according to Blædel no acidic mines, when he got an offer from his old workplace.
‘It was very undramatic. I was rung up by a manager at P1, who asked if I was interested in being a host on the program. And so we met and had a chat’, he writes in an sms to Ekstra Bladet.

‘I said yes immediately. The program is dedicated to international news, and it is a great stofomåde. As a previous host used to say in his introduction to the program: It is a full hour every Sunday, where we look out over the vildsvinehegnet and talk about what is going on in the world around us’, he adds.
Earlier, Mette Vibe utzon, Louise Windfeld-Høeberg and Jon Kaldan been the hosts of the program, which makes Tue Blædel both proud and a bit nervous.
– Are you really an adult, when one moves from P1 to P3?
‘Haha, yes it is there are already a few who have mentioned. But if I have to be honest, as I see it is not quite like that. I think I have made plenty of good radio on the P3 for both young people and adults, and now I am to make a lot of good radio to young people and adults at P1’, saith the diplomatic from Blædel, which debuts as the P1-host already on Sunday.
Blædel is, however, ‘only’ employed on a freelance contract, and therefore continues the podcast, he’s doing with Tony Scott for the Euroman also as usual.
