Low oil pressure was the cause of the cruise ship Viking Sky was stalling.
It informs the Norwegian maritime authorities, Sjøfartsdirektoratet, Wednesday at a news conference and in a press release.
– We can provisionally state that the direct cause to the vessel’s engines stalled, was low oil pressure, saith the Sjøfartsdirektoratet.

Sjøfartsdirektoratet has prepared a general sikkerhedsmelding to ensure the supply of lubricating oil for engines and other critical systems.
