So to the sound of the wind on Mars, a “gift” of the historic mission InSightLa NASA recorded for the first time an earthquake in MarteLas last images taken of the surface of Mars
The mission InSight by NASA has complied with the tradition of photographing the sunset and sunrise from Mars . The probe, which landed successfully in November last year, aims to take the pulse of the red planet, from the winds that lash its surface to the earthquakes ( baptized as “martemotos”) that make you shake your ground. But did not want to miss the opportunity to continue with the habit of missions that explore our neighbor to take an impressive shot that just made public the NASA .
To do this, InSight has used the camera for deployment of instruments (IDC) on the end of its robotic arm to photograph the first sunrise of the day April 24, at 5: 30 AM and, later, the sunset of the day 25, around 6.30 PM local time on Mars.

Additionally, a camera under the cover of the lander also captured clouds that moved through the martian sky at sunset. The color of the image has been corrected to match as closely as possible to the perception which would have the human eye.

Since then, both the outputs of the sun, the sunsets have been recorded by the robots of Spirit , Opportunity and Curiosity , among other missions.
