Exciting Update on State of Decay 3 Revealed, Four Years After the Original Announcement
Almost four years after the initial announcement, Undead Labs has finally provided a long-awaited update on State of Decay 3 with a new trailer… although there is still no release date.
The latest trailer for State of Decay 3 finally showcased some gameplay for the next installment in the MMO zombie franchise, featuring plenty of brutal zombie hack-and-slash action.
Undead Labs announced State of Decay 3 during an Xbox Games Showcase in July 2020, unveiling a gripping cinematic trailer. However, no additional details were provided at that time, except for the confirmation that a new State of Decay game was in development. In 2022, Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, revealed that State of Decay 3 would be powered by Unreal Engine 5 and that Gears of War developer The Coalition would assist Undead Labs in the development.
