A seven-year-old girl from Guatemala died of dehydration and shock, eight hours after she had been detained by the u.s. border authorities.

It also reaffirms federal immigration authorities in the UNITED states, according to The Washington Post Thursday. It writes the news agency AP.

the Girl and her father was detained by immigration authorities near Lordsburg in the us state of New Mexico 6. december. They were part of a group of 163 migrants.

It is unknown what happened to the girl during the eight hours before she received a series of seizures and was flown to a hospital in El Paso in the western part of Texas.
