the united nations decided in 2005 to 27 January would be the international day of remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust. In Sweden, it has been a national commemoration day since 2001.

The attention of, inter alia, the following ways in different places in the country:

• On 27 January at 14: Prime minister Stefan Löfven participate in a memorial ceremony at the royal dramatic theatre in stockholm.

• 27 January at 17: Stefan Löfven speaks at a memorial service at the great synagogue.

• 27 January at 16: Memorial ceremony at Raoul Wallenberg square. Speech held by, among others, culture and demokratiminister Amanda Lind and the american professor of history Deborah Lipstadt.

• On 25 January to 16 march: the living history Forum arranges miniutställningen ”anti-semitism – then and now” in Old town.

• The 15 January to 28 February: Exhibition at the Swedish barnboksintitutet about how the Holocaust has been portrayed and depicted in books for children and young people.

• The 27th of January at 13.30 pm: Roma council holds memorial service in the city library.

• 27 January at 17: Memorial service in the Malmö synagogue, arranged by the Jewish cultural association in 1945 in Malmö, and the Jewish Congregation in Malmö.

• 27 January at 18: Conversation and performance with Karin Brews and Ivar Frischer for members of the cultural association of Red Stone.

• On 28 January at 12.30 pm: the Manifestation of the ”rally for democracy” at the university of Gothenburg, Vasaparken.

• 24 January onwards: Various municipal events. Speeches and talks.

• On January 27, at 12: ”They were our mothers”, a documentary about Holocaust survivors appear at Fyrisbiografen.

• On 27 January 17.30: the Torchlight procession to the Nynäshamn church.

• 27 January at 15: candle ceremony, the exhibition ”Women of Ravensbrück”, the play ”Voices from Ravensbrück”. P A Hall’s terrace and the Borås city Theatre.

• On 24 January to 2 February: the Exhibition ”anti-Semitism – then and now” from the Forum for living history is displayed on the Karlskrona city Library.

• On 25 January to 1 February: the Exhibition ”anti-Semitism – then and now” from the Forum for living history displays.

• On 25 January to 31 January: Various arrangements of Västerås municipality, including a sinnesrogudstjänst, call on Sara Sommerfeld film ”My grandmother and the Holocaust” and the show ”The most dangerous thing there is”.

• The January 28: the Film ”Denial” is displayed in ten cities. The film is about the trial where the professor of history Deborah Lipstadt was forced to prove that the Holocaust took place then she was sued by Förintelseförnekaren David Irving. The film screening will be followed by a live conversation between Lipstadt and journalist Willy Silberstein.

Also during the past week there have been exhibitions in, among others, schools in several cities.
