Ask Rostrup, DR’s well known nyhedsvært, was used as the heavy firepower for a tv production company of the Danish prime minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen’s spin doctor, Jacob Bruun.
It shows a dramatic record of a meeting between the prime minister’s office and the production company Nordisk Film TV. According to the minutes pushed Jacob Bruun the people behind the DR3-documentary ‘An uncommon life’ on, why they had curtailed the planned documentary series on the four sections about Lars Løkke Rasmussen to just a single 35-minute-long broadcast.
It appears, on fol.a., Bruun pushed Ask Rostrup in front of him and refused, that the DR could be allowed to send the documentary:
‘Jacob Bruun mentions that the prime minister’s office has discussed this output with the Ask Rostrup, and both sides are baffled by why the production in the longer version (4 section á 28:30) not can be published on the channels other than DR3 and mentions, for example, DR1 or DR2.’
the Minutes, where Jacob Bruun allegedly pushing the production company, which corresponds, again, to the expansion of the documentary to the four sections, is not feasible.
Of the minutes of the meeting also appears that the prime minister’s office worked diligently to get all the broadcast stopped. Among other things, referred the Jacob Bruun, Nordisk Film TV should have violated the contract and demanded more tv time for his boss, the prime minister.
‘in conclusion reiterates Jacob Bruun and Sabrina Theil, to the prime minister’s office may not be contributing to the broadcast as the program is, as the prime minister’s office entered into an agreement on 4 programs and 1 program.
DR-host, Ask Rostrup will not over for the Extra Magazine to discuss his talk with the prime minister’s spin doctor.
My conversations with ministers, advisers, I believe, is confidential and I will not, therefore, refer from them. Within the framework I’d like to note that I do not recognize the interpretation of our talk.
Ekstra Bladet has tried in vain to get a comment from the prime minister’s special adviser, Jacob Bruun, for the record.
He declined to comment on the matter and refers to an email sent from the prime minister’s office in response to the report of the meeting of Nordisk Film TV. Here you write the prime minister’s office senior press officer Sabrina Theil, that the ministry does not believe that the minutes ‘is true’.
It has not been possible to get the Jacob Bruun to elaborate on what parts of the minutes that would not be true.
Creative director of Nordisk Film TV, Ulrik Chr. Jørgensen, protests, however, to Ekstra Bladet, that the record is correct.
– I can only say that it is a cold record, which we have submitted, says the director.
Extra Magazine yesterday could describe how there were strict requirements from the prime minister’s office to the people behind the documentary film during the filming.
Among other things, could the prime minister claim the recordings stopped or deleted. It was also forbidden to film, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, during his smoking breaks. And the spin doctor Jacob Bruun sought after filming to change several details of the program, including that the word ‘power’ was said often, as well as to a sequence in which Lars Løkke Rasmussen was summoned to the consultation on the kvotekonge case was taken with.
Both parts were allowed to pass in the final version, which was posted earlier in december, on the DR3.
