Farmers and vegans could often look like the enemies in the year that is gone. The irony is that we actually want much of the same: More pleasure, more care and more security for all – the animals that people.

Dead honest: We who are most concerned of the dyras health and welfare has made a lot of sound in the year. The battle for dyras well, and dignity is something more to listen to. That is why we say even more from than before – we demonstrate, debate and writing. And we answer questions. Most people we meet think it’s terrific, but some are experiencing changes that now are on the way as a little threatening.

Improper about the vegan diet Debate

That we challenge animals ‘ status as production units may be experienced as threatening by many who work with just the production of animals. Therefore, it is fast to forget something significant:

We are really in agreement in very much.

Messages from the farmers got me to thinking. A group of activists carried out in the autumn a demonstration at a museum where children were invited to participate in the slaughter. I held the microphone. The museum believed that the to view the out-of-date slaktemetoder was good learning for all; we thought it was a disrespectful way to treat animals. In the aftermath, many have contacted me, also farmers, and said that they want the animals to just be respected, live a good life and get end their life on the farm without the annoying transporter and painful auschwitz.

We are, of course, disagree about the slaughter, but the messages got me to thinking: Even if the animals to the farmer to end their days with to be cut up and eaten, so I have the faith in your words: They want the animals to have a good. Of course!

What is it then that separate us? We vegans hope for a vegan future. Many believe it is a naive aim, and it is of course difficult to predict if it will ever happen. Still wondering I: What if we don’t succeed with it, but only come a good distance on the road? What if it stops when 20 per cent of us are vegans? Or 50 percent? 90 per cent? How will the animals that still live on Norwegian farms have it? Will the farms that are left to be intensivdrevne farms with large dyretetthet, or will we see more smågårder where animals have higher quality of life and where the farmer has more time to each animal? I think the latter is the only likely.

Farmers and vegans is probably not completely agree endemålet, but in all the wrangling that occurs, I think it is good to remember that the consequences of veganeres fight for the animals, if not the world, eventually becoming vegan, is it the same as the farmer’s desire: An animal husbandry where each animal gets more attention and a greater chance to live out their needs. A livestock you farmers even say you want.

Dear farmer, I hope you see how much we agree with, and how our fight for the animals can be of benefit for you. For as I have said previously; the relationship between the vegans and the farmer had been able to be a love story.
