the ROME – The jet lag, the disturbance of the change of the time zone that is moving from one side to the other of the world, can ruin a trip. But thanks to an algorithm and a tool digital travellers will be able to know when it is better to sleep and the stars awake to help set their circadian rhythm of their own body. It Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, who, in a work published in Plos One, tell of their research funded by the Department of defense of the United States of America.

circadian rhythms are internal clocks that help regulate many physiological processes, including sleep, metabolism, secretion of hormones, and even the functioning of the brain. The energy, the alertness and other biological processes can suffer when the rhythm does not align with the daily life. The change in the circadian rhythm of a person is usually determined using the information gathered from an examination of the blood or saliva measures the levels of the hormone melatonin. The problem is that obtaining these results is time consuming and does not allow for an instant analysis. Scholars have been working on some algorithms that process data (such as heart rate and body temperature) that can be collected from a smart technology and wearable, which then converts them into an estimate of the variation of the circadian rhythm.
