Science & Planet, Archaeologists have discovered a cave in the famous Mexican ruin city of the Maya, Chichén Itzá, more than a thousand years old vessels and other pre-columbian objects have been discovered. Archaeologist Guillermo de Anda speaks of the “extraordinary material that is immensely well-preserved”.
The archaeologists had the Balamkú-cave on the Yucatán peninsula last year discovered at the instruction of local residents.
