The death toll from cyclone Fans, that is about India and Bangladesh swept, has risen to 77. The authorities of the Indian state of Odisha, where Fani on may 3, landed, made it known that 23 new deaths are confirmed. The Indian death toll was 64. In Bangladesh, 13 people were killed.

The cyclone moved along the Indian east coast with speeds of up to 205 kilometers per hour. The most deadly casualties as houses collapsed and trees omwaaiden. In India and Bangladesh are a total of 3 million people evacuated.
