Cycling On the rest day of the Tour of San Juan was Peter Sagan once again back at the handsome third of our young fellow countryman, Remco Evenepoel, Tuesday in the individual time trial in Pocito.
“Strong”, took the triple world champion. “Although I find it is still too early to elaborate about his future talk. If he stays calm and positive line can continue to pass through, the laughs that future him for sure. Of course there is still a substantial difference between third in the time trial of the Tour of San Juan and a similar results in, say, Paris-Nice or Tirreno-Adriatico. But I expect that in the course of the season, additional steps will convert. The big question is however, how he mentally will deal with the success. There depends a lot, if not everything.”
It is Evenepoels dream to ever shine in the groterondewerk. Or he’s the Tour, Giro and/or Vuelta on a beautiful day can win, slide Sagan still for a moment. “About a year two, we will be better able to estimate. Then he will be already a little further in his process of growth. It is something that I personally since my eighteenth, nineteenth have to undergo. He has still margin or is he now in the final stage of his maturity? No idea what kind of rider he can grow, therefore, I know the boy not good enough. The time will tell.”
