As usual, took the 17-year-old Frida Harndahl Andersen the bus home from the high school in Middelfart at the end of march.
the Trip proved to be so inveterate, as the driver, according to Frida, you showed discrimination to some of the bus passengers – more specifically, a woman with a headscarf and her two children.
Frida describes the opposite Ekstra Bladet, how an older, american gentleman came into the bus and wanted to pay for the trip with a halvtredskroneseddel. But although the driver usually only took coins, did the lord, according to Frida, was nonetheless allowed to run with.
A few stops later repeated the process itself – however, with the modification that here was a woman who wore a headscarf, and her two children.
the Woman sits down with her one child, and then her approximately 10-year-old boy check in. Rejsekortet does not work, and the driver says to the boy in a condescending, harsh tone, that he need to check in again, says Frida Harndahl Andersen of Ekstra Bladet.
– It tries the boy on, and it still does not work. The mother pulls so 100 dollars out of his pocket, as she gives the boy, so he can pay for the trip. The driver then says that he does not accept banknotes, and that the boy – if he can not pay with coins – must leave the bus, sounds it on.
the Episode made Frida so upset that she chose to pay the driver the remaining four dollars, which the boy needed to be able to run with.
– actually, I give the driver a fiver and say that he can give the boy a penny back, if it were not asking too much, says Frida to Ekstra Bladet.
the Episode was then cross-border for the 17-year-old high school student, she sat down to the keys, when she came home. In a letter to the times.dk she described the course, and the now raging debate.
Frida emphasises, however, the opposite Ekstra Bladet, that it has not been supposed to exhibit neither the driver or bus company Fynbus, but that she would put time in a debate.
– the Discrimination happens not only in the bus. I believe that we in Denmark are too poor to associate with other ethnicities, and it, I think that you should focus on, says Frida.
At Fynbus have also read Fridas letter to the editor, and right now, the ongoing a study of the aforementioned driver, explains head of communications Martin Krogh.
– We are investigating the matter. Usually, we are not to letters to the editor, but we do it in this case. We will talk with the employer to the concerned driver, and so relate to it, says Martin Krogh.
– What will happen to the driver if Fridas interpretation turns out to be true?
– It is a hypothetical question, as I will not reply. The thing is, the driver has not been convicted. When we investigated the matter, we can speak further, the sound it on.
– Normally we would say that she should have gone to the us. So it had been handled internally, says Martin Krogh, who do not have any further comments to the case.
