After the attack on Sterling: Chelsea turn off the fans

Chelsea choose to turn off four of their own supporters after the alleged rasistattacken against Raheem Sterling in the match against Manchester City.

” We are aware that a video is circulating online in which it is claimed have been directed racist taunts against a player. We will go through the images to see if any crime has been committed, said the police on Saturday evening.

Sterling himself commented on the incident on Instagram:

”in regard to what was said in the Chelsea match, as you can see on my reaction, so I could only laugh because I don’t expect anything better”, he wrote.

Ferdinand was upset

The former Manchester United-the hill’s Rio Ferdinand was one of those who expressed their anger on social media.

Welcome Chelsea’s decision

Now choose Chelsea to take action themselves after the event.

According to Sky Sports, the club has chosen to close the four members of their matches at the same time as they and the police continues its investigation in the case.

”Chelsea FC has closed by four people from the club’s matches pending further investigations after the charges against the fans ‘ behaviour towards Raheem Sterling during our match against Manchester City on Saturday,” writes the club in a statement.

”Manchester City FC welcome Chelsea’s decision to close by the individuals who violated Raheem Sterling verbally during the match”, they write.
