A cardinal, participating in the pope Francis’ summit on sexual abuse in the catholic church, acknowledging that the documents of priests who have been abusing themselves in children, has been destroyed.
In the other case there was not made a document or a file, says the German cardinal Reinhard Marx during the meeting in the Vatican on Saturday.

Marx spoke on the third day of a meeting, where the catholic church’s top bishops, called by pope Francis to find a solution to the crisis that has plagued the church for years.

Recently, there have been revelations in Germany, Chile and the UNITED states that catholic priests have abused children, while bishops and other clergy have covered up the crimes.
In many cases it was the priests who stood behind the abuse of children, transferred to other parishes.
Bishops have in many cases turned a blind eye and been more interested in protecting the church’s reputation than to punish the guilty, says the criticism.
