It was otherwise a day of rejoicing when the 57-year-old Angela Mason bought his usual ‘Pharaoh’s Fortune’ scratch card from his local newsagent.

She got the coveted three pharaoh symbols that triggered the big prize of 200,000 pounds, equivalent to around 1.6 million Danish kroner.

When I saw the results, I thought, that it could not be true. But then I showed it to my husband and my children and all cried out ‘you have won’, says the woman to The Sun.

She could not sleep at night, because she thought of how she could now pay off his loan for the house out and gives gifts to his children and grandchildren.

But the dream was quickly shattered.

When she went to her post office, they could not verify the coupon.

– They were to write the code in, but it didn’t work, she says.

She subsequently wrote to the company, Camelot, who told her that she had not been soldered properly and therefore had not won.

– But if I had raised more, it had to be destroyed, says the 57-year-old Angela Mason.

According to the company was her winning field a ‘E5’ and not the ‘F5’, which she had raised. It meant, according to them, that the symbols were not correct.

And Angela Mason is not only to get the disheartening message.

A father of four by the name of Eric was also denied his prize, because the symbol had resembled an F and not an E, as he needed to win. He was accused of cheating with the will to grab the win.

He previously told The Sun that he has invited the police home to investigate his lot, because he believes he has been cheated.

Angela Mason is on the same sure, too, that the company retain her money, because they will avoid to pay money for some scratch cards that may have typographical errors.

– When I talked with the company, they said that it had never happened before. I said, ‘you have a consignment that are in error, and ye know it, and now you will avoid to pay’. It makes me really mad, because they refuse me a legitimate payout, she says.

the Company itself has stated that the genuine winning ticket has not yet been filed.

– We do not believe that it is a faulty batch of tickets. We will of course check again and see if it is a true winning ticket. If we think that someone has tried to cheat, will we like one each other other company reserve the right to do what we think is right. It involves also, of course, to go to the police, have a spokesperson from Camelot said.

Angela Mason, however, does not on its ticket.

– In the beginning I thought at the company and thought that maybe it was just me who had committed an error, but now when I hear that it has happened to others, I won’t give up. It is not in order. My life could have been completely different. I feel like I have been scammed, she says.

Both Angela and Eric believe that they should receive their winnings.

– I know that I have won, she says.
