Customers have won a battle over taxaselskaberne, after the latter raised the prices significantly over the holiday season.
Taxaselskaberne Taxi 4×27 and Taxa 4×35 has taken the consequences of failure and the anger of customers over christmas and have chosen to put the prices down again, new year’s eve and 1. January.
At the Consumer council Think to understand the reaction from the customers.
– It is a good demonstration of that boundless greed will be punished, says chief economist Martin Salamon.
– We understand, of course, all good that people must have addition to work on public holidays, but it must also be reasonable.
– Here is gone quite to the limit to see if they could blocks the consumers for the maximum amount. How to play the piano is not. Then we react as consumers. The bother we cannot find ourselves in, he says.
Martin Salamon urges consumers to continue to ‘react sharply at unreasonable prices, so they’ll come down in an acceptable hire’.
It is the new taxalov, who has given taxaselskaberne the opportunity to screw up the prices in the holidays.
It was allowed in order to increase competition and reduce the waiting times of taxis, especially in Copenhagen.
It had several companies availed themselves of, and thus cost in the holiday season up to 135 dollars in up-front fee to sit into a taxi. Usually it costs about 50 bucks. Also the tariffs per mileage was increased.
Chairman of the Taxiførere in Denmark Thomas Wiigh Larsen is disappointed by that the customers have not accepted that taxi drivers must also have a supplement to their salary, when they work on public holidays.
– But I also think that it is a fodfejl that the prices have been set quite up there, where they have been.
And so it has been helped along by the media, which focused only on the highest price above the competition, there has been, he says.
