The former football star David Beckham on Wednesday, bought ten percent of the shares in the football club Salford City, who is a player in the England femtebedste superliga National League.
Thus becoming the Beckham part of a group of owners, which also includes five of his former teammates from Manchester United.
Thus, the owner of Phil Neville, Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs also every ten percent of the shares in the club, which has its home in the outskirts of Manchester. The five players already went into the club back in 2014.

Beckham is happy to be a part of Salford that is located in the area, as Beckham settled in, when he as a young player, moved from London to Manchester.
– It is a very special club with a special group of people. My early years in Manchester were spent in Salford. I grew in many ways up there, so it is a good feeling, that finally I can join the guys and the club, ” says Beckham.
The last 40 percent of the shares in the club are owned by businessman Peter Lim from Singapore. He also owns a majority stake in the Spanish team Valencia.
Salford City went over to the fuldtidsprofessionalisme in 2017. The team’s home ground, Moor Lane, has space for a little over 5000 spectators.
David Beckham is also a part of the ownership group in the us club Inter Miami, which is scheduled to become a part of Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2020.
