the President of The German Football association (DFB), Reinhard Grindel, to resign with immediate effect.

It informs the DFB on its website.

the Decision comes after the president in recent days has been accused of keeping an extra income hidden from the public.

on Friday last week, wrote Der Spiegel magazine that the Grindel as the chairman of the DFB’s media company, had been paid 78.000 euro on top of its normal fees.
