The 37-year-old former swimmer Filippo Magnini currently enjoyed by the Italian summer in Sardinia, but for a couple of days ago, the idyll is broken for a while.

On the local beach of Cala Sinzias, there was suddenly an emergency, as a tourist, got into difficulty in the water. The tourist was about to drive to the sea at a beach toys and had a hard time to stay afloat. Friends of the distressed holidaymaker quickly got livreddernes attention, but Magnini, who was out swimming with her partner, was close to the situation.
Without hesitation he swam quickly the tourist in the encounter and managed to keep him afloat until additional help.

– I did just what I needed, he says, and continues on the episode:
– Badegæsten was in great difficulties. At one point he was so scared that he sat firmly and swallowed a lot of water. When I reached him, he could not talk. It was hard to get him on the liferaft, so we got him on an air mattress, the other swimmers was in the water, he remembers.
A doctor and an ambulance came quickly with the help, and the tourist had a ride to the hospital, however, with the life in the keep.
Magnini was, however, quick to fade into the background, even though several people – including the tourist’s family came over and thanked him.
The positive attention is otherwise needed for the Italian.
In november last year ended svømmekarrieren involuntarily for Magnini, who was excluded from all competition for four years because of doping.
