Boxing Filiep Tampere, the coach of WBC champion in the lightweight Delfine Person, has denied that the camp between the Person and Katie Taylor, the Irish held the WBO, WBA and IBF titles at the lightweight, is already one hundred percent sure is fixed. That impression was formed after Tampere on Facebook had a photo posted in which he gloves exchanged with his Irish colleague.

“The exchange of the gloves was merely a symbolic gesture”, explained Tampere to Belga. “The camp is here los. That is certainly not fixed yet. There are still some kleinigheiden in the contract about which we disagree. The are but small matters, but we will not be boxing if we do not arrive at an agreement. One of the issues is the sponsorship. The sponsors who Delfine for years to support – and that have helped her the WBC title to achieve and maintain – during the camp in New York not in the picture. We, of course, doesn’t agree. I have good hope that we all shall conform to reach, but that is currently not the case. I am sitting the next days together with our lawyer, that the points and commas in the English, drawn up contract will be read.”

The camp between the Person and Taylor will – if all the formalities in order to be brought – on Saturday, June 1, in the imposing cathedral Madison Square Garden in the heart of New York take place.
