Almeria Barbarians were joined by Cordoba Bulls and Maracena Lions to show that flag football is still in fashion. They also participated in the inaugural Granada Summer Bowl organized by Phoenix. This was possible due to the involvement by the Sports area of Granada City Council with Jose Antonio Huertas, its councilor, as champion of this sport in the capital. The Andalusian Federation of American Football encouraged the event in Nueva Granada park. More than 200 spectators attended the event, and many families from this northern neighborhood participated in it. This completed the flag season, which is a non-contact form of American football.

The current champions of junior Andalusian sports, the Maracena Lions (Junior Andalusian champions), won the champions trophy after defeating Almeria Barbarians 39-6 and Phoenix 0-30. Bulls were also victorious 44-0. The Bulls won 19-0 over the hosts and 21-6 over the Barbarians. Meanwhile, the Bulls defeated the Barbarians 24-8. Maracena won the title of champion ahead of the Phoenix, Bulls, Cordoba, and Barbarians in Almeria.

American football was at a high level. This was due to the unity among the clubs. The teams also shared a third period, in which Coca-Cola was available and products from Hita Graphics, Coviran and Hita Graphics souvenir bracelets. There was even a barbecue thanks the Carnicas Paquito collaboration.

Phoenix wanted to recognize the hard work of its players throughout the season before proceeding to the award ceremony. It gave a detailed description to each member. Luis Martin was selected as the best defensive player for the Granada team, and Josemi Fájardo was the best offensive player. Paula Salazar was also awarded the prize for most valuable athlete, due to her outstanding performance in the three games she played.
