in a few days will scientists and astronomers publish the very first photographs of a so-called black hole in space.

The historic photos, which are taken by the telescope the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) is being launched by six parallel press conferences on Wednesday in different places in the world. It informs the EHT-cooperation on Saturday.

Black holes are one of the phenomena that has fascinated and frustrated researchers the most. Already in the 1700s, astronomers to speculate about what it could be.

despite the name, it was actually the light from them, which led to the discovery of black holes.

After a laborious and multi-year research found astronomers out that the small bright dots on the firmament of heaven, in fact, was the enormous black holes surrounded by gas and plasma.

the force of Gravity in a black hole is so extreme that it turns off everything. The light tension against the hole and be consumed, then everything becomes black.

Astronomers have long dreamed to see how that looks in these holes, which turns off everything in their vicinity. Now hope the astrophysicists behind the EHT, they can be made a part of their curiosity with the new photos and other new information.

the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) is located in different places in the world. There are, among other view posts in Spain and Chile. Thereby it has been possible to take photos and collect facts from different angles. The different recordings are then subsequently put together to one picture.

Paul McNamara, an astrophysicist and expert in black holes by the european space agency, ESA, says that a black hole has enough gravity to get a star to go into orbit about it very quickly – as quickly as 20 years.

– in Order to put it in perspective, one can highlight that it takes our solar system about 230 million years circling around the Galactic center, he says.
