This Sunday, the Jogging de La Louvière event was a great success. Over 2100 participants took part in the three adult distances of 5, 10, and 21 km. Additionally, hundreds of young children participated in the races organized for them. The routes for the three distances were slightly modified due to ongoing construction in La Louvière, making the 21 km route a bit more challenging. There was also a high level of competition in the various races.
In the 21 km race, Aleksander Tekleweld from CABW, who came in second in the last 20 km of Brussels, won with a time of 1h06.40, beating Jérôme Kahia (1h12.15) and Benoît Haegeman (1h12.15). Amélie Saussez, who also came in second in the last 20 km of Brussels, finished in 8th place overall with a time of 1h19.59, securing the victory ahead of Stéphanie Benoit and Audrey Bottemanne.
On the 10.5 km route, Amaury Gossé claimed victory with a time of 31.45, followed by Ilyane Smail (32.21) and Sébastien Leblicq (32.28). Elodie Van den Abeele finished 7th overall in 35.26, winning the women’s category, ahead of Elisabetta Ribera d’Alcala (36.41) and Melania Fiordi (39.07).
Finally, in the 5.2 km race, which had the highest number of participants with 900 registered, Ludovic Scarmur (16.12) and Maëna Limelette (19.44) emerged victorious.
