FC Copenhagen leads the Danish league and won last Sunday against Odense with 1-0. But it was not football that was the focus afterwards.
During the game was directed homophobic taunts against Copenhagen midfielder Viktor Fischer and William Kvist from sections of the home crowd in Odense.
– There are apparently some who still believe that this belongs to 2019, said Twig to Danish TV3 after the match. We must do something about this. It needs to be removed and I believe and hope that Odense fan club do something about it.

”naturally We take a strong stance against homophobic epithets. We are well aware that football involves great emotions and that you can be angry, sad, or disappointed. But we do not accept taunts of homophobic, racist or discriminatory nature,” writes the club.
But according to Viktor Fischer, who has made 21 appearances for Denmark, it was not the first incident in Odense. Also when the teams met in August 2018 were he to hear similar things from the stands.

On the field in Sunday’s match was the swedes Pierre Bengtsson and Sotiris Papagiannopoulos, both of which were replaced in the second half for Copenhagen.
