Abraham was denied a penalty after a five-minute VAR delay
Jose Mourinho continues to win with another win
Roma turned around their poor recent results with a convincing 1-0 win against Torino thanks in part to a first-half strike byTammy Abraham.
After defeats by AC Milan and Venezia, Abraham’s goal was the decisive factor in Jose Moorinho’s victory.
Roma scored after some Torino pressure. Abraham grabbed a through-ball form Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and fired past Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic – Savic.
Roma thought they had won a punishment when Alessandro Buongiorno knocked Stephan El Shaarawy from the area.
Abraham took the spot-kick but was made to wait for five minutes as VAR officials checked for any offside during the build-up to the penalty.
Abraham’s heel was found to be offside, and the play was re-introduced. Mourinho was agitated in his technical area.
Both sides had plenty of chances, but neither side was able to take them all and Roma emerged victorious.
