Henrik Rydström had to leave Kalmar.
Now he is ready as the new head coach of Sirius, together with [ Jelecak.
“I have had a growing need to get new experiences,” says Rydström.
Kim Bergstrand and Thomas Gage left the Sirius to the island of Djurgården in the middle of november. Now, the club has made it clear with the new coach.
At a press conference on Monday was presented Rydström and the former assistant coach [ Jelecak as the new head coach.
– With Mirza, we wanted to find an exciting dynamism and together with Mirza, we talked a lot of names, but where the name Henrik Rydström arrived quite early in the process. Henrik was pretty fast and we managed to capture two head coach in the shared leadership, ” says sporting director Ola Andersson.
”Extremely nice”
Rydström, which has belonged to Kalmar throughout his active career, looks forward to a new challenge.
– It is extremely nice. I have been in Kalmar since 1993 and has had a growing need to gain new experience and work with people who have a different experience than what I have. Mirza, I and Ola have been talking a lot and to have this opportunity, I am extremely grateful, ” he says.
