When the history’s most winning Formula 1 driver’s son choose to go in farmands footprints, so it is inevitable that the comparisons between the two shows up.
Annoying, some might think, but not Mick Schumacher.
The 20-year-old race car driver is fine with the fact that he is often linked with his father – the syvdobbelte world champion Michael Schumacher.
– To be compared with my father has never been a problem for me, he says.
– To be compared with the best run in Formula 1’s history is the goal you want to achieve. And when it is my idol and my father, it is very special. I am honored to be compared with him, for I just learn and try to improve myself, he says, according to BBC.

In 2017 drove Mick Schumacher in the same car that Michael Schumacher won his first world championship, and in January he signed a contract with Ferrari, where he is on the team’s talentakademi.

In this season enters the Schumacher junior in Charles Leclerc’s footsteps and should try to win the Formula 2 with Prema Powerteam. Just as the new Ferrari driver did it in 2017.
And therefore it is of course obvious that Mick Schumacher must go the same path and end up in the seat, who gave his father so many triumphs.
First and foremost it is, however, that the young race car driver to take the next step.
– I can learn so much by Ferrari, because they are so experienced, and I would like to work with them to achieve the maximum.
– The first impression I got of the Ferrari, was very open. They bade me welcome in a family, which has always been a part of my family, says Mick Schumacher with reference to the father’s many years in the Ferrari car.
Mick Schumacher, who won Formula 3 last season, begins the Formula 2 season in Bahrain on Friday in the next week.
